ROOF CLEANING SERVICES

Sevenoaks & Surrounding Areas

Your home is important to you so it is vital you protect your property by giving your roof the care and attention it needs. If you live in Sevenoaks, Shoreham, Tonbridge or surrounding areas, CR Cleaning Kent can give your roof essential protection so it will survive the elements as well as improving the appearance of your home.

When people carry out maintenance on their properties, they often forget their roof needs looking after too. But neglecting your roof can lead to unattractive fungi and blocked gutters, as well as shortening the life of your tiles.

CR Cleaning Kent carry out roof cleaning and roof treatment services in the Kent, Sevenoaks and South East London areas as well as elsewhere in the UK. We are experts in both cleaning and treating your roof and we hold qualifications in softwashing and in the safe use of chemicals specifically for roof cleaning.

CR Cleaning Kent provides an expert roof cleaning service. We only use HSE licensed products and we never use ladders and step onto your roof tiles! We own a mobile scaffold tower and can use this to reach heights in most instances. Depending on the property, a scaffold may need to be erected.

The UK climate encourages the growth of moss, fungi, algae and lichens, all of which thrive on roofs, along with dirt and other air pollutants.

Roof cleaning can make a world of difference to the appearance of your property. When thoroughly cleaned, your property can be restored to a near new finish and tiles can be restored to their original colour, giving your building a new lease of life.

Different roofs require different approaches for the best results. Therefore, we offer 3 different cleaning methods to suit the roof, and your budget.

OPTION 1 - SCRAPING & BIOCIDE METHOD

IOCIDE TREATMENT APPLICATION SOFTWASHING SEVENOAKS.jpegROOF B

We will remove as much moss and algae as possible by manually scraping with a specialised tool specifically for the use of roof scraping.

Then, with specialised soft wash equipment, we will treat your roof with Professional Grade Biocide chemical. Our Biocide contains no solvents, acids, or bleach and will not affect silicone additives, sealants, or coatings used in modern construction.

This is a treatment that will slow any regrowth and kill any fungal growth for anywhere up to 3-5 years. We recommend a biocide treatment once every 3-5 years to keep on top of regrowth this is a maintenance treatment.

Post-treatment, we allow nature to do the work for us. Dead vegetation is dispersed by routine cycles of wind sun and rain, to gradually reveal the original appearance of the tiles.

This “self-cleansing” can take many weeks or sometimes months depending on the location of the property, the condition of the roof tiles, and the type of roofing material being cleaned.

OPTION 2 - SOFT WASH & BIOCIDE METHOD

We will remove as much moss and algae as possible by manually scraping. Then, with specialised soft wash equipment, We will treat your roof with soft-wash chemicals. This will provide a more instant result than option 1. It is possible some lichen may be visible but will be dead and could take a couple of months or so to flake off.

Soft wash can be used on roofs, driveways, rendered walls, brick walls, stone walls, timber fences, decking, and more! This is not power washing, instead low-pressure is used to apply a cleaning solution, which will remove mould, mildew, algae, moss, and airborne contaminants.

Once washed down with a soft wash solution we will treat the roof with a Professional Grade Biocide. Our Biocide contains no solvents, acids, or bleach and will not affect silicone additives, sealants, or coatings used in modern construction.

OPTION 3 - ROOF PRESSURE WASHING (STEAM CLEANING) & TREATMENT

ROOF STEAM CLEANING KENT.jpg

We can steam clean your roof using specialised pressure washing equipment for an instant result. We will use a tower, lift or scaffold to access the roof depending on the property. An inspection is required prior to cleaning, and if we think steam cleaning is not an option for you, we will recommend one of the above methods instead.

Once cleaned, we recommend treating the roof with Professional Grade Biocide as a preventative treatment, for a long-lasting result.

NB Roofs that are heavily contaminated with moss often need a pre-treatment to kill the moss, which will aid removal.

OPTION 4 - ROOF CLEANING WITH LOW PRESSURE & TILE PAINTING SPRAYING RENOVATION

Roof tiles are continually being bombarded by the elements, be it wind, rain or hail. Whether it be a new build or an old building, roof tiles are susceptible to continuous weathering and are at risk of becoming porous and damaged. As tiles become more porous they can start to be susceptible to lichens too.

Roof tiles when new look great but over their lifespan will begin to look dirty and tired. People generally accept that a dirty moss-filled roof is normal but it isn’t. We will clean, treat and spray your roof tiles and bring them back to life. So, what are you waiting for? Upgrade your unsightly old roof today with CR Cleaning Kent.

Checkatrade Review

"Sam regularly cleans our windows very well, so we also asked him to clean and re-sand our driveway and were not disappointed with the results! Sam is polite, professional and thorough. He has given our drive a much needed facelift and even kindly cleaned our neighbour’s car when it was caught in the muck flying off! We cannot recommend Sam highly enough"
